The Vancouver East Cultural Centre is a
picturesque former Church in Vancouver's East Side. It was
renovated in 1973 and turned into a theatre. The "Cultch" as it is fondly
referred to, serves as home to several local performing arts
group, presents an exciting dance and theatre series, while
continuing to serve the city as an important venue for
community productions. The VECC is planning a facility
expansion, including a new studio theatre, and was delighted
to receive the second Vancity award in furtherance of this
goal. |
