Brother Ernest Leslie Wise
passed peacefully away at his home on Sunday
February 22, 2004. Ernie had been a member of
IATSE Local 118 since August 27, 1963. In the
early days he worked at Spectacular Productions,
where some of our most senior members began
their careers. Brother Wise was proficient in
many departments, including Carbon Arc
Followspot, Props and Carpentry. However, he
will most likely be remembered for his skills as
a Flyman. Many of our current members owe a
great debt to him for the invaluable education
we received in managing counterweight systems
and rigging while working as his flyrail crew.
Ernie was a stagehand. He remains our Brother in
spirit.

The family has requested that in lieu of
